Welcome to Shakti Chocolate.
Join us in our love affair with raw chocolate. We believe in raw chocolate's superior nutrition as well as its amazing flavor properties. We are excited to offer this healthy heightened chocolate experience. We believe in simplicity of ingredients and methods.At Shakti Chocolate all our ingredients are organic, our cocoa is fair trade and we use activated nuts to nourish the body, mind and soul. We minimize what is done to process the bean and control the heat in production. This careful treatment preserves the wonderful properties of the cocoa and produces a rich, flavorful chocolate.

Meet Carolyn
Shakti Chocolate was founded in 2008 by Carolyn Milner-Barrows. Carolyn is a body worker and yoga teacher with lifelong interest in nutrition and sustainability. She is a graduate of Ecole Chocolat in Vancouver, BC. After living in the US Virgin Islands for many years, she had the opportunity to see cacao grown for the first time on the island of Dominica. Learning about this amazing superfood lead to launching Shakti Chocolate to share it with you. She now lives in her hometown of Austin Texas, where there is strong support for local and healthful foods.

Raw Nutrition
Raw chocolate and raw cacao have amazing healing properties and are the number one source of magnesium. This superfood is full of antioxidants (more than red wine, black tea or regular chocolate), tryptophan, phenylethyalamine (PEA) and anandamides.
